Man Arrested at City Council Meeting

A man was arrested at the Waterloo City Council Meeting Monday night for allegedly disrupting the meeting, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. A self proclaimed troll, 34 year old Beau Bish, took to the podium to first thank Mayor Quentin Hart for his 10 years of service before targeting Councilmember John Chiles. Chiles served on the jury for Bish’s court case back in 2022 after he was arrested for interfering with police. Bish, on his Youtube page, records police and attempts to troll them. He was recording police arresting his neighbor in 2022 when he was asked to move back so they could secure the area but he refused and was arrested and sentenced to 10 days in jail. As soon as this topic came up last night, Chiles repeated to Hart that it was a breach of protocol. Bish then called Chiles a little rat, which caused an uproar from councilmembers and the public. Police Chief Rob Duncan then stepped in and asked Bish to leave. Bish said he would only leave under threat of arrest and claimed Duncan was violating his rights. Duncan called for backup and Bish called the police and Chiles rats again. Chiles then shouted to Bish to shut up. Bish then responded by saying to Chiles, “Shut up, little boy, you watch your mouth. You’re speaking to a man.” Chiles says Bish and his followers have left thousands of phone calls and emails after his information was posted online. Bish was charged with two counts of Disorderly Conduct.
