A Waterloo man has been arrested for an alleged attack on a man at his ex-girlfriend’s home last year, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 25 year old Jayontae Gates is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home on Fox Avenue in Evansdale at around 8pm on May 23rd. Once inside he allegedly began punching Zordarrell Martin-Wilson in the face. Martin-Wilson, who was asleep at the time, suffered a fractured jaw and other injuries and had to be transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Gates, who was arrested on Monday, has been charged with first degree Burglary and Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury.
