Man Arrested for Beating a Man with a Railroad Spike

A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly beating a man with a railroad spike at a mobile home park in Evansdale over the weekend, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to the mobile home park on River Forest Road around 1:30 Saturday morning. After their investigation they determined 37 year old Dustin Cary struck Craig Becker several times in the head with the railroad spike. Becker was taken to Allen Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Cary was charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury and Assault While Displaying a Weapon. His bond has been set at $12,000.
