Waterloo Police have arrested an Oelwein man who allegedly struck a child with a belt, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 36 year old Elijah Ojo, also known as Elijah Evans, was taken into custody on Monday. He has been charged with felony Child Endangerment and Interference With Official Acts. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Ojo’s arrest after the child was left with bruises on their legs, allegedly caused by Ojo hitting them with a belt. He also allegedly gave police a fake name when he was arrested.
