Man Arrested for Robbing Pizza Guy

A 19 year old Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly robbing pizza deliverymen on at least four occasions, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Daqualis Spates-Ketchens is accused of snatching the food from a Pizza Hut delivery vehicle and running away on January 27th. On January 31st he is accused of holding a gun to the stomach of a Papa John’s driver and taking the food he was delivering. On February 3rd Spates-Ketchens allegedly ordered food from Pizza Hut but when the driver arrived he took the food and ran. On February 6th Spates-Ketchens again allegedly used a gun to rob a Domino’s driver of the food he was carrying. The phone number used to order from Pizza Hut was traced back to Spates-Ketchens and a Domino’s warming bag was found in his possession. Spates-Ketchens was charged with two counts of first degree Robbery, two counts of fifth degree Theft, and one count of second degree Burglary. He is already awaiting trial for allegedly taking $75 worth of items from Kwik Star on February 16th.
