A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly shutting off the natural gas to several homes, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 41 year old Joshua Conkling was arrested on Friday and charged with first degree Criminal Mischief by Interrupting Utilities and seven counts of Trespassing. Seven houses had their natural gas turned off on February 22nd. Police utilized surveillance video to identify Conkling. They approached him at his home, where he was allegedly wearing the same clothes he had on in the videos. Conkling had charges of punching a family member dropped a few months prior due to competency issues.
