A Waterloo man has been arrested after allegedly threatening another man with a gun in front of four children, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 35 year old Dorondis Cooper is accused of entering a home on Logan Avenue with a 9mm hand gun. Cooper allegedly fired one shot in the home. The resident of the home gathered the four children into a bathroom in order to protect them. Cooper is accused of then pointing the gun in the resident’s face as the children looked on. Cooper eventually left and the police were called. Not long later Cooper returned to the home where police found he was slurring his speech and had bloodshot eyes. He refused a breath test. Police also found the pistol on the passenger seat of Cooper’s car. Cooper was charged with Second Offense Operating While Intoxicated, Intimidation with a Weapon, Assault, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and four counts of Child Endangerment.
