A Waterloo man has been arrested after attacking a morning walker, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 27 year old Joseph Agan has been charged with second degree Robbery and Public Intoxication. Agan allegedly hid behind a tree before jumping out in front of a walker just after 6:00 a.m. Sunday. Agan demanding the walker hand over their phone. He then began punching the walker before wrestling their phone away. The walker chased after Agan, who eventually tossed the phone. A short time later police took Agan into custody. They noted he had slurred speech, watery eyes, and smelled of alcohol. Agan has been arrested several times this year including in May for stealing alcohol from a Kwik Star, in June for hitting a man in the face with a bottle of Black Velvet, and on August 12th for stealing a pack of cigarettes from a different Kwik Star.
