A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob children, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 39 year old Marcus Gardner Jr. was arrested and charged with First Degree Robbery and Intimidation with a Weapon. According to authorities, Gardner stopped two 12 year olds and a 13 year old as they walked home from school on Tuesday afternoon and demanded $50 from them. Gardner is accused of pointing a gun at the head of one of the children. That’s when another pulled out their phone and began recording the incident. Gardner allegedly snatched the phone. No injuries were reported. Gardner’s bond has been set at $50,000.
