A Grundy Center man already awaiting trial for allegedly sexually abusing a 9 year old girl has allegedly been caught with AI altered pornographic pictures of prepubescent children on his phone, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 40 year old Joseph Buffington has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography. Investigators say they found on his phone a picture from Facebook of an 8 year old girl, fully clothed. Buffington allegedly used an AI app to remove the clothing in the picture. Authorities say they found photos of other children that appeared to have been similarly altered.
