A Waterloo man was arrested after dropping a gun while he ran from police on Monday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Officers with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force were investigating 20 year old Jeremy Phillips on potential weapons charges when he took off running. During the pursuit he dropped a 9mm pistol. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Interference While Armed. His bond has been set at $10,000.
