An Independence man has been arrested after search warrants in Waterloo and Independence turned up drugs, according to KWWL. On August 29th law enforcement witnessed 35 year old Darrell Jones Jr. and his wife carrying two large cardboard boxes from their vehicles to a residence on Oleson Road in Waterloo. Detectives suspected those boxes were filled with drugs. A search warrant at that home and at a residence in Independence were executed on August 31st. In Independence they found 28 firearms, a large number of THC cartridges, and some unknown orange pills. In Waterloo they found over 40 pounds of methamphetamine, over four pounds of cocaine, and a number of those unknown orange pills. Jones was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver.
