Man Held Gun to Woman’s Head

A Waterloo man has been arrested after holding a gun to the head of a woman, accoring to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 28 year old Trivansky Swington allegedly put the gun to the head of the woman in a car in the driveway of a home on Patton Avenue just after 3:00 Monday morning. Others in the car were able to knock the weapon away from Swington, who struck the woman in the scuffle that ensued. Swington eventually walked away but fired a round about half a block away. The gun police believe he used was found behind a garage. Swington has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a weapon, assault with intent to inflict serious injury, assault causing bodily injury and carrying weapons. Swington is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a felony conviction of robbery outside the former Byron Supermarket in 2014. He is also currently awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting the same woman back in October.
