Man Pleads Not-Guilty of Stealing from Grandma

A Charles City man accused of stealing from his own grandmother has pleaded not guilty, according to KIMT. 33 year old Casey Olson has been charged with first degree theft and dependent adult abuse. Olson allegedly withdrew $15,000 from his grandmother’s accounts and cashed in around $17,000 in CDs while also writing checks and using a debit card belonging to his grandmother to make numerous personal purchases. Olson is his grandmother’s care taker but only had permission to pay her bills and taxes. He will go to trial on December 7th.
