A Waterloo man allegedly rammed an Iowa State Patrol vehicle during a chase over the weekend, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The trooper had pulled over a Chevy Silverado driven by 39 year old Cody Hartley on Highway 218 at the Broadway Street exit around 11:35 Sunday night. Hartley allegedly ignored the trooper’s command to roll down his window and sped off. During the ensuing pursuit Hartley allegedly stopped in the roadway and went into reverse, striking the squad car. Hartley was detained a short time later and charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, Eluding, Failure to Comply, and Driving Without a License.
