A man has been re-arrested for his role in a robbery in Elk Run Heights, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 21 year old Dequonterio Galloway-Bass was originally arrested on February 23rd after a raid at his apartment on Stardust Drive turned up seven of the guns taken in a home invasion in Elk Run Heights. Galloway-Bass, however, was able to kick open the door to the squad car he was placed in and run away. He was re-arrested after police were called to a report of a shooting a block away from the house he was hiding out in on Monday. He was charged with eight counts of felon in possession of a firearm and one count each of trafficking stolen weapons, carrying weapons and first degree robbery. He has also been charged with escape. He has not been charged in connection to the shooting on Monday. Five others have been charged in connection to the home invasion in Elk Run Heights, including a relative of the victim.
