A Cedar Falls man who had sexual contact with a dog has been sentenced to jailtime, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Zachary Smith gave his then-girlfriend’s dog THC gummies and then had sexual contact with the dog last December. The girlfriend became concerned about the dog so she checked the home surveillance video which showed the incident. Smith was convicted of Bestiality and Animal Abuse. He was sentenced to 305 days in jail but that was reduced to 60 days in the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility. He must also pay a $430 fine.
