A Waterloo man has been sentenced after shooting a woman in the stomach in 2022, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 22 year old Howard Mason pleaded guilty to Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Intimidation with a Weapon, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm and Interference While Armed. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Mason shot the woman because she was fighting with the mother of his child. Mason is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a Domestic Assault conviction in 2021.
