A man involved in a shootout at a liquor store a year ago has been sentenced to a federal prison sentence, according to KWWL. 35 year old Demitrius Cannon pleaded guilty to one count of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm in April. He got into a shootout at New Star Liquor on September 25th of last year with Charles Ware. Cannon was shot in the ankle during the incident. He was taken to the hospital before being taken to jail. Yesterday he was sentenced to two years in federal prison. He previously was convicted of felony Possession With Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine in Wisconsin in 2003. Ware, who has 30 convictions on his record, was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison last month.
