A Waterloo man has been arrested after allegedly setting fires near a recreational trail, according to KWWL. Police were called to the 11th Street Bridge just after midnight Wednesday morning. When they arrived they found 56 year old John Baker Jr. standing near three small fires. Baker admitted to lighting the fires. He has been charged with third degree arson, possessing drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. His bond has been set at $2,600.
