The cause and manner of death for a man found in Elmwood Cemetery have been revealed, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Around 1:00 p.m. on May 9th a maintenance worker for the cemetery found the body of 31 year old Moses Batemon under a tree. Batemon died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. The firearm was recovered at the scene. The Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a suicide.
