A Hampton man was shot dead by police in Sheffield on Wednesday, according to KWWL. Officers were called to a domestic disturbance. When they arrived on scene they found 30 year old Matt Davis arguing with family members who had locked themselves inside the house before calling 911. Davis was pointing a gun at passing vehicles and at the officers. When he was ordered to drop the gun he refused. After refusing, Davis was shot once and died at the scene. Upon further investigation, Davis’ gun was determined to be a pellet gun. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
