A Waterloo man has been sentenced for stealing medication from a Cedar Falls veterinary office, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Jordon Tait accompanied his girlfriend while she cleaned the office after hours. While there he took alprazolam pills, typically used to calm cats and dogs. He then returned to the vet’s office after hours on his own. Employees alerted police in June when they discovered a shortage during an audit. Tait pleaded guilty to two counts of third degree Burglary and one count of Possession of Alprazolam. He was sentenced to up to five years in prison but that was suspended to two to five years of probation with one year in the residential correctional facility.
