Waterloo Police had to use a taser in order to take into custody a man who had threatened people with a knife. Officers were called just after 8:00 a.m. to an area of San Marnan Road near Wal-Mart where they located the man, still armed with the knife. They tried to reason with him to put down the knife but he refused. A taser was utilized to allow police to take the man into custody. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and for a mental evaluation.
