A Waterloo man has been arrested after allegedly trying to set a Chevy Tahoe on fire, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say 26 year old Garrett Metcalf lit the Tahoe’s gas tank on fire while it was parked in the 700 block of Magnolia Parkway at around 4:45 Tuesday morning. Officers found Metcalf in the area with the Tahoe’s gas cap. He told police he tried to light the vehicle on fire because the owner, Troy Sallis Jr., had allegedly threatened him the previous day. Metcalf has been charged with second degree Arson and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
