In an update to a story we told you about earlier this week, the subjects seen with masks and backpacks on roaming around Readlyn have been arrested. A joint search warrant between Readlyn Police, Denver Police, Janesville Police, and the Iowa State Patrol was executed on Sunday and 31 year old Derek Eicher of Denver and 28 year old Jordan Brandt of Dike were arrested for alleged vehicle burglaries in all three communities. The search of their property in Denver found cash, wallets, tools, checkbooks, debit cards, ID cards, and loose change allegedly taken during vehicle break-ins. They also found a boat motor allegedly taken from Janesville last month. Eicher and Brandt both face multiple charges of third degree Burglary and fourth degree Theft. They are currently being held in the Bremer County Jail.
