The Iowa Department of Public Health announced Tuesday, March 27th that Waterloo’s bid for a medical marijuana dispensary has been approved, making it one five cities in the state to have a local provider. Just the night before, the Waterloo city counsel unanimously endorsed the proposal.
Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart shares what the thought-process was for the unified support:
According to the Waterloo Courier, the new dispensary will be located at Crossroads Center in Waterloo. You must provide a card from a primary care physician through the Iowa Department of Public Health to purchase any of the cannabis products.
