Mayor Reacts to New Camera Law

A new law that Governor Kim Reynolds signed says that money raised from traffic cameras must go to public safety and roads and not the general fund. The City of Waverly has announced that they will be installing traffic cameras soon. Mayor Mark Anderson explains how they will handle that requirement.

The bill also says that the Iowa Department of Transportation must do a traffic study before the cameras will be approved. Mayor Anderson says that will likely delay the implementation of the traffic cameras in Waverly.
