The McDonald’s on Brandilynn Blvd in Cedar Falls had to close overnight Thursday.
According to employees, high winds caused something to hit a gas line, causing the leak.
The Cedar Falls Fire Department responded. Some employees had headaches. Firefighters gave them fresh air and they all declined further medical treatment. It’s unclear when the restaurant will reopen.
