A crash east of Oelwein sent two 16 year olds and an 11 year old to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to the intersection on Highway 3 and I Avenue at around 2:30 Wednesday on a report of a two vehicle crash. The Iowa State Patrol determined that a vehicle driven by 16 year old Landon Graber of Stanley pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 45 year old Michael Lockie of New Hampton. Graber along with 16 year ld Edward Kieffert of Oelwein and 11 year old Karson Graber of Stanley were all taken to the hospital in Oelwein. The Iowa State Patrol says that Landon Graber was using “an electronic communication device” at the time of the crash.
