The latest coronavirus numbers from the state of Iowa show that 739,921 individuals have been tested to this point. 80,410 individuals have tested positive. 57,814 have now recovered while 1,265 have died. Locally Bremer County has 197 active cases. Butler County has 23 active cases. Floyd County has 58. Chickasaw County has 43. Fayette County has 66. Buchanan County has 78. Black Hawk County is reporting 4,339 positive PCR tests and 715 positive antibody tests. 3,445 have now recovered while 86 have died.
Wartburg’s latest coronavirus numbers show that 30 people on campus have currently tested positive. 31 are in isolation at this time while 49 others are in quarantine. The University of Northern Iowa is reporting in their latest round of testing which lasted from September 14th through the 20th they administered 101 tests. 12 of those tests came back positive for a positivity rate near 12%. That is the lowest amount of positive cases and the lowest positivity rate at UNI since they started testing.
