Monday Update from Reynolds

The governor held her press conference at 11:00 Monday. She said the numbers in Iowa continue to trend in the right direction. She talked about the businesses that have opened and the people that have gone there. She reminded Iowans that none of her proclamations are requirements to open and she said people should use personal responsibility.

The Coronavirus figures for the state of Iowa have been updated. 103,148 Iowans have been tested. 304 more Iowans have tested positive for a total of 14,955. The death toll in the state has risen by 4 for a total of 355. 7,324 Iowans who tested positive have now recovered from the virus.

Locally Bremer County has 2 new cases for a total of 66 and 51 of those have recovered while 5 have died, Butler County has 14 cases and 12 of those have recovered, Chickasaw County has 8 and 6 of them have recovered, Fayette County has 25 cases and 21 of them have recovered, and Floyd County has 1 death and 11 cases and only 2 of them have recovered according to the Iowa Department of Public Health. Black Hawk County Health Department reports 1,831 total cases and 31 deaths. The state says 878 in Black Hawk County have recovered.
