Over $1 million has been awarded to housing initiatives in North and Northeast Iowa, according to KIMT. Those in Northeast Iowa include $439,000 to Iowa Northland Regional Housing Council Local Housing Trust Fund, which helps families in Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, Grundy, and rural Black Hawk County and $243,000 to the Waterloo Housing Trust Fund. The funds are expected to assist nearly 2,400 families statewide.
