Bremer County will be testing their outdoor warning systems on Tuesday, April 5th. In the event there is threatening weather in the area, the tests will be delayed until the next day. The systems are utilized to warn citizens outside of their homes of severe weather, a chemical or hazardous material incident, or a terrorist threat. Emergency notifications may also be received throughout the Alert Iowa notification system. You can sign up for that on the Bremer County Emergency Management website.
These sirens are tested monthly.
