John Deere has announced more layoffs, according to KCCI. This round of layoffs will impact the facility in Ankeny where 119 employees will lose their jobs. The company says, as with the previous layoffs, reduced demand for their products and a weakened farm economy are leading to the layoffs. They cited forecasts from the United States Department of Agriculture that indicate a decrease in major row-crop cash receipts from 2024.
