Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a proclamation opening many businesses statewide beginning at 5:00 a.m. Friday. Those businesses include dentist offices, campgrounds, drive in movie theaters, tanning facilities, and medical spas. The proclamation also provided clarification regarding social and fraternal clubs such as American Legions, VFW posts, and Elks Clubs in the 77 counties already opened. Those places can operate at a max 50% capacity inside or outside. Groups larger than 6 are not allowed. There must be at least 6 feet between groups. Self service is prohibited. Reasonable measure must be taken to ensure the safety of employees.
In those 22 counties that remained closed including Bremer, Black Hawk, and Fayette fitness centers will be allowed to reopen beginning Friday at 5:00 on an appointment only basis. Malls can open at 50% capacity and food courts and play areas must remain closed, and all other retail businesses can also reopen at 50% capacity.
