Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community has announced some changes as they recover from a COVID-19 outbreak at their facility. Back on May 1st they began delivering newpapers and mail as it arrived again. They also returned to regular dishes in areas not impacted by the coronavirus. Those dishes are washed in a high temperature dishwasher and all staff are wearing PPE. Eichhorn Haus and Linden Place will continue to use paper products. Tuesday residents will be allowed to receive deliveries. Those deliveries will be wiped down and sanitized before they are given to the residents. The deliveries should be placed on the table outside the green entrance with the intended resident’s name on it. On May 9th a Mother’s Day Parade will be held. A police escort will lead the parade west down 5th Avenue. Residents who are able to go outside will sit in designated areas. Family members are encouraged to create posters decorations and signage.
