Rescue crews were called to old Highway 63 on the Bremer County Chickasaw County line after a motorist became trapped flood waters early Sunday morning. According to the Bremer County Emergency Management, the motorist went around a warning sign, through water, over a bridge, and into deeper water. The car then stalled and began filling with river water. Rescuers were able to reach the driver and bring them to safety, however the vehicle is still in the flooded roadway. The driver was cited.
