A contractor from Nashua is facing criminal charges after he allegedly took money but did no work, according to KIMT. 39 year old Jose Montano McCain, owner of McCain Construction, was allegedly paid nearly $29,000 in September of 2021 for a home remodeling project in Lime Springs. Investigators say that no work was ever done on the victim’s home and no refund or reimbursement was provided. McCain has been charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct, first degree Theft, and second degree Theft. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His trial is set to begin on May 3rd.
