Nashua Man Pleads Guilty

A Nashua man, 24-year-old Dale Edward White, has pleaded guilty to federal gun charges following a January accident that claimed the life of his father.

White pleaded guilty to being a drug user in possession of a firearm and faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing will be at a later date.

Court records state on January 2, White and his father, Karl White were handling a loaded rifle in the living room of their Lawrence Street home when the weapon fired. Karl White died of a gunshot wound to the head. The state Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death accidental.

Police report finding 47 other guns during a search of the home, and located items related to meth and marijuana use in Dale White’s bedroom. Dale White provided a urine sample that tested positive for meth, records state.
