The names of the new elementary schools in Waverly have been selected. The school on Horton Road will be known as North Ridge Elementary while the school on 5th Avenue Northwest, across from the Public Works building will be known as Prairie West Elementary. The first students in the building will not be from Waverly however. Shell Rock students will be bused to North Ridge Elementary in Waverly beginning in the Fall while renovations continue in the Shell Rock Elementary. Waverly students will finally enter the halls of the new schools in the Fall of 2024.
