New Figures; Denver Mayor Claims Case in Town

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds updated the COVID-19 numbers Monday morning at 11:00. She reported 257 new cases for a total of 3,159. 67% of the new cases over the entire weekend have come from meat processing plants. 4 new deaths for a total of 79. 1,235 Iowans have recovered from the disease for a 39% recovery rate.

Bremer County is reporting 2 new cases of COVID-19 in the county for a total of 28 cases. Black Hawk County now reports 259 total cases and one death.

Denver may be one of the latest locations to be hit by COVID-19. Mayor Rod Diercks posted on Facebook about a possible case on Sunday.

This case has not yet been confirmed and the Department of Public Health cannot reveal that information.
