Two new police officers in Waverly have been sworn in by Mayor Adam Hoffman. The ceremony took place Monday as Mayor Hoffman provided the Oath of Office to Joseph McNeill and Kassidy Zeien. McNeill had formerly been a deputy with the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office while Zeien is graduating from the Police Science program at Hawkeye Community College. The two new officers will fill vacancies on the force. McNeill’s starting date was Monday. Zeien’s starting date will be December 10th.
