A new restaurant, with ties to Readlyn, is coming to Waverly. Grumpy’s Roadhouse will be going into the former Dirty Dog location. They anticipate their opening day being September 1st, although Mike Keeran, the owner of Grumpy’s and a Waverly resident, says they could open even sooner. The Waverly location is expected to feature entertainment and activities for college students after 10:00 p.m. in addition to the family friendly atmosphere earlier in the day. The owners of the Dirty Dog closed their business after struggling to find enough quality employees in early May, but noted that they believed somebody would take over the location and find success.
