The Waterloo City Council has approved development and ground lease agreement for a new sports facility near the TechWorks campus, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The facility is expected to have 16 volleyball courts and eight basketball courts and could host youth tournaments. Jim Miller with the Waterloo Development Corporation says the entire project will cost a total of $35 million but will be privately funded. They are currently fundraising.
