There will be no farmers markets in Shell Rock this summer. The organizers announced on Facebook that they have had to cancel due to low vendor participation, declining attendance, and limited volunteer support. The most popular part of the farmers markets was the food trucks, organizers say they have referred those they already had scheduled to the City and the senior center in hopes of alternative arrangements being made. Organizers say they if they find renewed interest and support the market may return for the 2027 season.
