There was an school bus involved incident in Shell Rock Monday morning. Below is what was communicated from the Shell Rock elementary principal:
I am writing to make you aware of a bus incident that occurred today at the Shell Rock Care Center.
As the bus was approaching the awning at the Care Center, it did not have adequate clearance and made contact with the structure. As a result, there was damage to both the bus and the awning. No students were injured, and student safety was not compromised.
The district is actively working with the Shell Rock Care Center to address the situation and remediate the concern to ensure this does not happen again.
