According to KWWL: The Salvation Army of Waterloo and Cedar Falls is suspending its free noon meal program at the end of this month due to staffing shortages. The last day of the program will be Friday, October 29.
The program provides a free lunch to people on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Salvation Army is still looking for a part-time food program manager, since their last one resigned in September. The program was being run by other Salvation Army staff but with the holiday bell ringing campaign approaching, they are unable to maintain both.
