Not-Guilty Plea in Child Sex Abuse Trial

A Charles City man has entered a not guilty plea to child sex abuse, according to KIMT. 38 year old Charles Fisher pleaded not-guilty to one count of second degree Sexual Abuse. Fisher allegedly sexually touched and attempted to have sex with the child who was under the age of 10, in January. The child reported the alleged abuse to medical staff at the Allen Child Protection Center in Waterloo. Fisher was held on a $25,000 cash only bond. His attorney argued for the amount to be lowered but before the judge could rule, Fisher paid the amount and was released. A trial date has not yet been set.
