A nurse working in Tripoli has been disciplined by the Iowa Board of Nursing for leaving her post, according to the Iowa Capital Dispatch. Troyetta Barron of New Hampton is a licensed practical nurse. She was scheduled to work in Tripoli on October 20th of 2024 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Surveillance video showed her leaving the building at 7:18 a.m. and not returning to the building until 8:40 a.m. Her absence left the building without a nurse and delayed the morning medication pass. She told investigators that she was sleeping in her car during that time. The Board issued Barron a warning and required her to complete 30 hours of educational training on ethics.
